David B. Duke, DMD, FICOI, FAGD- Dentist Missoula
Dr. David B. Duke is a general dentist in Missoula with extensive training in oral implants, cosmetic dentistry, dental lasers and Invisalign. He combines contemporary technique with gentle dental care and patient education to help patients achieve exceptional oral health. Dr. Duke enjoys all phases of dentistry and takes great pride in providing innovative dental care to all ages. He continually strives to improve his skills and the experience for patients by attending classes and conferences.
In 2009 Dr. Duke was awarded the prestigious degree of Fellow by the International Congress of Oral Implantology for his advanced training in surgical placement and restoration of implants as well as bone grafting techniques.
In 2014 Dr. Duke was awarded an Associate Fellowship by the World Clinical Laser & Imaging Institute (WCLI) for his proficiency with dental lasers. The WCLI is the world’s largest dental laser group and the only laser and imaging organization in the world.
In June 2015 Dr. Duke received the award of Fellow from the Academy of General Dentistry at their annual meeting in San Francisco. This award is given to a general dentist who has been recognized by other general dentists as a leader and example to other dentists of the importance of quality continuing dental education to patient care. This award encompasses all areas of dentistry.
From 2015 -2016 Dr. Duke served as the Secretary for the Montana Academy of General Dentistry. In 2016-2017 he served as the Vice President for the Montana Academy of General Dentistry. In these roles Dr. Duke helped grow the membership of the AGD, organize lectures and training for dentists statewide and act as an advocate for dental health issues within the state of Montana.
Dr. Duke is also a member of the Three Rivers Study Club and the prestigious Seattle Study Club, a group of general dentists and specialists which meet monthly to attend lectures and collaborate on complex treatments. Dr. Duke also receives mentoring and instruction for Invisalign from Dr. Molis, the #1 Invisalign provider, thru the Molis Coaching program.
Dr. Duke was raised in Lewiston, Idaho so he is familiar with the area and its unique challenges and opportunities. He completed his undergraduate degree at Utah State University in Logan, Utah where he received degrees in Cellular & Molecular Biology and Chemistry and Biochemistry. He then attended Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio as a graduate student in Applied Anatomy. Dr. Duke applied his knowledge as the Course Director of Anatomy and Physiology at Walla Walla Community College in Clarkston, Washington. Although he loved teaching, he felt a draw to dentistry. He returned to Case School of Dental Medicine where he completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Upon graduating, Dr. Duke returned to familiar surroundings and established Bitterroot Dental in the heart of the Bitterroot Mountains in Missoula, Montana.
Dr. Duke and his wife Annika love raising their three kids in Missoula. His interests include traveling, photography, whitewater kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, backpacking, hunting and soccer.
He is a member of the following organizations: the American Dental Association, the Montana Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Three Rivers Study Club and the Seattle Study Club as well as a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and an Associate Fellow in the World Clinical Laser & Imaging Institute.
